About the Event
Stars Over Wimberley Benefit Concert Series is a collaboration between the Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WimberleyArts.org) and the Wimberley Players. Our mission is to showcase Texas musical artists – our shining stars – and support the Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarships for creative Wimberley graduating high school seniors – our rising stars, while bringing cultural enrichment to our community.
The Peterson Brothers are a duo of young musicians from Bastrop, Texas who play soul, funk, blues, and jazz music with youthful, modern energy. They are Glenn Peterson Jr. on guitar and vocals and Alex Peterson on bass and vocals. They started playing music when they were kids, inspired by a gift from their mother and grandmother of an assorted record collection purchased at a garage sale. The young men immersed themselves in such artists as The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire, the Brothers Johnson, and B.B. King crafting an infectious sound all their own. Their performances are energetic and improvisational, with catchy and original songs. They are crowd-pleasers whenever they play.
