"A Celebration of Youth" is this Week!

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra's much awaited concert themed “A Celebration of Youth" is finally here.  Enjoy musical masterpieces such as “Swan of Tuonela” by Jean Sibelius and “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” by J.S. Bach; orchestrated by Stokowski. Premiered in 2018, “Five Minute Symphony” by Kathryn Ellis has bright melodic phrases and a full four-movement structure. In addition to these lively and captivating pieces, the Starlight Symphony Orchestra is honored to shine the spotlight on the phenomenal winners of the 2019 Young Artist Solo Competition. Adriana Bec dazzles with “Concerto in E Minor for Violin and Orchestra, Mvt. 3” by Mendelssohn, and Margaret Seo shows off her inspirational talent in “Chaconne in G Minor” by Tommaso Vitali. Please join us in showing our support to the incredible hard work and dedication of young musicians in the Central Texas area! The first performance is Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohler’s Crossing, in Kyle.  The second performance is Sunday, March 10, 2019, 4:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, in Wimberley.
